The story so far...

Hello! I'm Andrew, the creative force behind Orchard & Black.

What began as a passing curiosity about bookbinding in 2011 became quite the obsession. It took me on a journey through all things paper and card, via extended side quests into leather goods, wood craft, stained glass, jewellery making and circled all the way back to the beginning.

I've owned a ridiculous amount of notebooks over the years, always drawn first to the design on the front. I'm like a magpie but instead of collecting shiny things, I love logos and colours and the smell of freshly cut paper. Orchard & Black brings you a completely self indulgent variety of retro designs, inspired by everything I've seen along my half a century on this planet.
